Some weddings unfold exactly as planned. And then there are those that unfold exactly as they are meant to.
This German–Danish celebration in Munich — featured in VOGUE Germany — was shaped by spontaneity, heavy summer rain, and an unmistakable sense of ease.
Actress Dia Jovanovic and Nik Neubauer, who live and work together in Copenhagen where they run their company Aeris, chose Munich — Nik’s hometown — as the place to say yes. And not even persistent July rain could dim the spirit of the day.

The wedding was planned quickly and intuitively — something I deeply love. Because spontaneity often carries the most truth.
And that truth was felt throughout the entire day: imperfectly perfect, minimal, honest, deeply warm.

One of my personal highlights was the couple and family shoot before the ceremony. Originally planned for Munich’s Hofgarten, the forecast forced us to rethink everything the day before. Rain was inevitable. The solution: the venue itself. We moved the shoot into the Seehaus — a space not designed for large family portraits, with limited room and a storm unfolding outside. We opened the terrace doors and photographed from within, the lake behind them, rain pouring down. Dramatic.
